As I was reading my bible. I began to think about all the miracles Jesus accomplished on this Earth. The word omnipotent, meaning almighty, stood out to me. As I looked in my Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, It listed only one scripture that uses the word omnipotent -- Revelation 19:6.
The whole bible is filled with examples of His almighty power and knowledge.
The words Omnipresent means ever-present, and Omniscient means all-knowing. There is nothing God does not know, and thinking that we can hide our thoughts and feelings from God is foolish.
God places a calling on people because he is omniscient and knows of our struggles and victories. Some individuals can speak to inspire others to take up the cross and follow him. Some can sing. Some are musicians. Some are Sunday School teachers and youth leaders.
For one reason or another, we hide from our callings. However, those callings will go away if we pretend we cannot hear. If we keep
it in the dark, no one will know, but that is not true because God knows
everything. God has a plan and purpose for everything. We must have faith that when we stand up, God will provide, guide, lead, and protect us.
Jonah thought he could run from God and hide away in the opposite direction God wanted him to go to preach to the people of Nineveh. God had a giant fish swallow him and then drop him off near where he was supposed to be all along.
What if Esther, Daniel, Job, John the Baptist, Moses, and all the others hid away from their purpose? Would Jesus be what he IS to the world? Would we have redemption? A chance for Heaven?
For the word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight, but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13
Even when the serpent led Eve to sin and caused Adam to sin as well. The moment they ate the forbidden fruit. They immediately knew they had done wrong and tried to hide from God. While hiding, Adam heard God’s voice (Genesis 3:10), and knew that God was everywhere and saw everything that had transpired in the garden. God could have killed them on the spot, but instead, he cursed them, sending them out of the garden. They and their generations will be cursed and toil on the land for the rest of their days.
Nothing stays in the darkness. Jesus told this to his disciples in St. Luke. Jesus was with a multiple of people, he told his disciples.
For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, neither hid, that shall not be known. Luke 12:2
Do not be afraid to embrace your calling and have faith that God will provide your
needs while you go about his plan for your life.
